Yesterday this was the National Geographic picture of the day and it made me miss Tucson at this time of year. This picture was taken at the Grand Canyon but it looks the same as the monsoons that sweep over Tucson in July and August. Tucson is the lightning capital of the world and I remember spending a lot of late summer afternoons and evenings standing on the porch and watching the storms. They are very beautiful.

I miss you in the summer when the monsoons come, and in the fall when the football games start up, and in the holiday season, and in the spring when all is getting pretty and green and in the summer. I guess that's just about the whole year long.Love Ya, Mom
